The trailer of ‘118’ starring Nandamuri Kalyan Ram was launched early last week. The movie has been directed by K.V. Guhan who also serves as the story-writer and cinematographer of the film.
The highlight of the trailer is certainly the intriguing plot which the movie promises to offer. It also presents the interesting premise of the film that features many genre elements.
Kalyan Ram, who’s making a comeback of sorts, is seen as a curious mind whose logical approach to things is suddenly disturbed by a peculiar case that completely takes over his mind. As he tries to dig deep and unravel more, he gets sucked in even more.
Nivetha Thomas plays the role of a woman whom Kalyan Ram looks for and intends to set free. Shalini Pandey plays his love interest, with their story being an integral part of the whole setting. Senior actor Nasser too appears in the trailer playing the role of a consultant Psychiatrist.

Telugu film industry has had a dearth of genre movies in the past but there have been quite a few churned out in recent times. 118 seems to be a good fit in the whole scheme of things.
The whole unit, at the trailer launch, decided to wear black badges to condemn the recent Pulwama Attack. A moment of silence too was observed to express solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces.
