Bharat Ane Nenu Review: Koratala Siva and Mahesh Babu deliver once again

Bharat Ane Nenu

Bharat Ane Nenu is one of the most awaited films this summer, as the movie brings together the Blockbuster combination of Koratala Siva and Mahesh Babu after their hugely successful ‘Srimanthudu’. Let’s see if the movie has delivered on the bring promises.

Story :

Raised in London, Bharat is a typical youngster who’s yet to figure out what to do in life after Graduation. However, circumstances force him to become the Chief Minister of the United Andhra Pradesh. New to the place and with no political knowledge, Bharat learns the ropes quickly and governs efficiently.

However, while he endears himself to the masses, he makes enemies out of the political class, including his own party members. The story revolves around how he solved the issues and made the bad guys to good.

Performances :

Mahesh Babu, as usual, lived in the character of Bharat, balancing both as CM and a Lover Boy. His performance is impressive and beckons the question as to why some directors fail to get the best out of him. Koratala Siva plays to Mahesh’s strengths by portraying Bharat as a class character with enough mass elevation scenes.

Prakash Raj played delivers a composed role as usual and features throughout the movie. Heroine Kiara Advani played the routine glamorous role without much scope for acting. Brahmaji, Sharath Kumar and other actors were apt in their roles.

Technical Aspects :

There are very few directors in Tollywood whose movies appeal to a wider audience and Koratala Siva is one of them. He always picks up a universal concept and adds his touch of commercial elements and Bharat Ane Nenu is no different, albeit with more commercial elements than his previous ventures. Devi Sri Prasad’s Music and Background are a big asset to the movie and elevate few scenes to the next level.

DDV Danayya has gone all out as far as the budget is concerned and each and every penny is visible on the screen, especially the Assembly set is a treat to watch and every inch of the set is done to perfection. Cinematography by K. Ravi Chandran and Thiru are top class. Editing by Sreekar Prasad is decent but could have better.

Plus Points :

  •   Assembly Scenes
  •   Press Meet
  •   Rayalaseema Fight Scene
  •   Vachadayyo Song and Bharat Ane Nenu Title song

Minus Points :

  • First half
  • Background score in the First half

Bharat Ane Nenu is a blend of both Mass elements and Social Message. Koratala is master in making such stories and repeats the same here. Overall the movie delivers on the big promise and definitely deserves a watch.
