Guru had a good Monday at the Boxoffice showing good holds in all centers, taking its 4 days total past the 8cr mark.
The Venkatesh starrer had a very good opening on Friday, keeping the momentum on Saturday and then posting a good jump on Sunday. The WOM is terrific, and with Venkatesh’s following among the family audiences the movie will see a long run at the ticket counter.
Guru was released by Suresh Babu throughout the Telugu states and the movie is reportedly valued at around 15cr. Here is the area wise break-up.

Considering the genre of the movie it is a wonderful start and the week should be around the 11cr mark. For a comparison, Drushyam which also starred Venkatesh and of a similar genre collected around 8cr in its first week but went on to mint 20cr in its full run.
