Mahanati is continuing to rule the Boxoffice even in its third week and had successfully crossed a major milestone in the US.
The movie crossed the $2.5 million mark in North America on Monday and is now the 6th highest Telugu grosser in the region.
What makes the achievement even more eye-catching is the fact that the movie was screened in less locations than the other biggies and the ticket prices were just around $12 on an average which is again very less compared to the other biggies.
The Savitri Biopic is only behind Baahubali series, Rangasthalam, Bharat Ane Nenu and Srimanthudu in terms of the US grosses and has a slight chance of overtaking Srimanthudu by the end of the run.
The US has been a happy hunting ground for Telugu movies this year, with Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu already crossing the $3.5m mark and Mahanati now grossing over $2.5m.
The movie is already a BLOCKBUSTER and will challenge the 40cr share Worldwide on a budget of around 25cr and will feature among the Biggest Hits of the year.
Mahanati stars Keerthy Suresh, Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Deverakonda in lead roles and is being directed by Nag Ashwin. The movie is produced by Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt on Vyjayanthi Movies banner.
