The season of biopics is continuing in Tollywood. NTR Kathanayakudu, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vidya Balan, Rana Daggubati has been one of the most awaited movies this year. Let’s see how this biopic turned out.
NTR Kathanayakudu Movie Review:
Being a Biopic, the story is based mostly on real-life events of NTR, starting from the struggles he faced during the early days of his career in the film industry to his growth as a Tollywood Superstar.
The second half is about NTR’S compassion for downtrodden and emotional events of his personal life. The climax ends by floating of a political party by NTR to protect the pride of Telugu people, setting the Theme for NTR Mahanayakudu.
Except for a few odd scenes, Balakrishna has done complete justice to his Father’s role. Rana Daggubati, Sumanth and Kalyan Ram are present for few scenes but they portrayed real-life characters to utmost perfection.
Vidya Balan has to be given major credits for giving life to the character of Basavatarakam. The casting for most of the characters is top notch.
Krish could have narrated the story in a more engaging way with a better screenplay. However, credits should be given for handling such a dynamic subject. Sai Madhav Burra’s dialogues are terrific and provide good elevation to the lead character.
Special mention about M.M.Keeravani, who has given top-notch Music and Bgm for the movie.
Screenplay and Editing
NTR Kathanayakudu is a must watch Biopic of a Legend whose life is an inspiration to the current generation. It is larger than life story of a great personality. The narration gets shoddy at times, but the aura and dialogues keep you entertaining throughout. It is definitely worth a watch.
