It is already known that Superstar Rajinikanth’s next Petta is all set to hit theaters next month on the eve of Sankranthi.
However, confusion prevailed as far as Petta Telugu Rights are concerned as reports earlier claimed that C Kalyan has bought the rights. But the ace producer has dismissed those claims.
According to the latest buzz, Ashok Vallabhaneni has bought the Petta rights for the Telugu States for around 14cr. The distributor has earlier scored solid hits with Tamil movies Sarkar and Nawab.
Rajini’s previous release 2.0 was sold for a whopping 75cr in the Telugu States but that movie had Shankar and Robo brand attached to it.
Another reason for the rights costing so low is that fact that there are 3 Big Telugu movies in the form of NTR Biopic, Vinaya Vidheya Rama and F2 which will be hitting the theaters during the Sankranthi season.
Petta is directed by Karthik Subbaraju under SUN Pictures. It has a huge star cast which includes Vijay Sethupthi, Simran, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddique, and Bobby Simha. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music and Sun Pictures is producing the movie.
