Rx100 has turned out to be a Big Blockbuster at the Boxoffice in the Telugu States, but the movie failed miserably in Overseas.
It collected around 11.5cr Share Worldwide which is huge for a small film, however the Overseas performance was absolute Disaster.
In the US, the movie grossed $134k in full it’s run. The collections are not bad for a film starring newcomers, but it had decent buzz ahead of its release and the distributor went for a huge release with around 120+ locations.
The Share would be around 25Lakhs which isn’t enough to even recover the publicity and VPF costs for the distributor. It’s another classic example of a movie facing contrasting verdicts in Local market and Overseas.
The Overseas audience don’t really entertain half-baked raunchy entertainers, while the local audience mainly youth flood the theaters for these films.
RX100 stars newcomers Kartikeya and Payal Rajput in lead roles and is directed by Ajay Bhupathi. The movie is produced by Ashok Reddy Gummakonda on Kartikeya Creative Works Banner.
