2.0 took a Below-Par Opening at the Boxoffice collecting over 12.5cr Share in the Telugu States on Thursday.
The movie generated good pre-release buzz despite low key promotions in AP/TG. It opened well in the morning shows but showed a noticeable drop in AP and Ceeded.
The First Day number is the Biggest opening for a Dubbed film by a margin but much more was expected considering it was a Rajinikanth and Shankar film. However, it released on a Thursday so the occupancies took a hit in the evening/night shows.
The WOM is good and that should help the movie gain some ground in the next few days. The AP/TS theatricals are valued at 72cr, so there’s a long way to go but it will first need to hold well on Friday to set up the momentum for the weekend.
