Mahanati which released amid decent hype is having a dream run at the Boxoffice going from strength to strength which each passing day.
Opening a movie on a weekday is always risky unless its an extended weekend with a holiday, but the makers took the risk and it is paid off.
The movie opened on a Wednesday with mediocre openings, but as the WOM spread it started showing huge jumps on the weekend. It was rock solid on it’s first Monday and continued through the week with hardly any drops.
The second weekend was very impressive once again and has confirmed that the movie is BLOCKBUSTER at the Boxoffice. There are few movies releasing over the next few weeks, but with this WOM the Savitri Biopic shouldn’t have any impact.

The movie was valued at around 20cr and has already turned out a 10cr profit and is likely to cross the 35cr in the Longrun. It is a mammoth success for everyone involved and a memorable hit for TFI.
Mahanati stars Keerthy Suresh in the lead role alongside Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salman, Prakash Raj, Rajendra Prasad and Mohan Babu.
