Acharya which is being directed by Koratala Siva has become the much-awaited film this year as the buzz is very high. Be it the director or the leaked look of Megastar in the film or the speculations around the special role in the film and whatnot, the film has created huge hype before even completing the shoot.
The movie was initially expected to release on Independence day weekend. However, the shooting of the film got halted due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Koratala Siva has recently confirmed that just 40% of the shoot has been wrapped up and they will resume the regular shoot once the lockdown period is over. Makers are now looking for a fresh release date.
By now, everyone knows that Ram Charan will be playing a crucial role in the film. However Cherry hasn’t allocated his dates for the film as he is currently busy with Rajamouli’s RRR.
As RRR’s shooting also got delayed there have been rumours that film may not release on Sankranti as scheduled. Even Rajamouli has stayed silent over the release date in his recent interview.
Reports suggested that makers of Acharya are in contact with the makers of RRR and are keen to release Acharya during Sankranthi season if in case RRR postpones its release.
