Akhil Akkineni who is currently working on his next ‘Mr. Majnu’ will reportedly be playing the role of a playboy in his next. Bollywood Actress, Nidhi Aggerwal is playing the love interest of Akhil while ‘Tholi Prema’ fame Venky Atluri is directing.
While the first look, title and teaser have captured the attention of film buffs, we hear that the shooting is progressing at a fast pace.
It is learned that the 60% of the talkie part is already wrapped and the crew are currently shooting the film in Hyderabad, where some important scenes between the lead roles in shopping malls and parks located in the city.
The teaser has impressed the target audience and portrays Akhil in a Play Boy avatar. Fans seem to be happy as the classic playboy role has been a strong point for Akkineni’s family for decades.
The makers have been on the lookout for a suitable release date and as per the latest buzz, Mr. Majnu will now release in February and the business deals have already started with this release date in mind.
S.S.Thaman is composing the music and George C Williams who has helmed the camera for many Tamil and Malayalam films like ‘Kaththi’, ‘Raja Rani’ and ‘Sakhavu’ is working as the cinematographer for the movie.
The film which is being released under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and is produced by BVSN Prasad who earlier delivered “Tholi Prema” with the same crew. Hope young Akhil Akkineni gets lucky this time.
