Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo

Allu Arjun has been waiting for a big hit for quite sometime now and his new film has hit the theatres now. He took a break of almost two years and came back with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Let’s see if the wait is worth it. Here is Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Movie Review:

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Movie Review

STORY: Valmiki (Murali Sharma) a middle class family man who believes that he will stay as a poor fellow because of his fate, is blessed with a son (Sushanth). At the same time Rama Chandra (Jayaraj) his ex-colleague who eventually becomes the CEO of the company is also blessed with a son (Allu Arjun) in the same hospital as Valmiki’s son.

With greed, Valmiki interchanges the boys so that his son will grow up rich. Whether the truth is revealed and do the boys will reach their original places forms the rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Allu Arjun has nailed it. It’s his career’s best performance. His comedy timing and dance steps were simply superb. Murali Sharma has lived in his role. He acted very well as a cunning father while generating laughs. Scenes between Arjun and Murali Sharma have come out quite well. Pooja Hegde has justified the role given to her. Jayaraj and Tabu have given decent performances. A good comeback role for Tabu.

Sachin Khedekar was given a meaty role and he did it with perfection. His presence evoked laughs in the theatre. Samudra khani has outperformed as a terrific villain. Sushanth looked matured in his acting. He improved a lot compared to his previous films. Vennela Kishore was given a short role and he generated laugh during his screen sharing time. Navdeep and Nivetha Pethuraj justified the roles given to them.

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT: Thaman has done an excellent job in delivering the best BGM and music. This is his career’s best album after Ravi Teja’s KICK. Trivikram Direction and Screenplay are fabulous. He took an ordinary story and presented in a very engaging manner.

Trivikram mark dialogues are excellent as always. Choreography and the locations for the songs are also good. Production values are superb and every frame looks so rich. Cinematography was decent.

PLUS POINTS:

  • Allu Arjun
  • Screenplay
  • Music

MINUS POINTS:

  • Story
  • Predictable Second Half
  • Routine Trivikram template

VERDICT: Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is a smooth family entertainer with Trivikram mark dialogues. Start from the first frame to last frame movie is engaging and never feels boring.

Though the story looks familiar, it is presented in a rich and engaging manner. It is a worth watch film for this Sankranti. With Sarileru Neekevvaru also impressing it will be a tough fight this Sankranti.
