Bharat Ane Nenu which is one of the big-ticket releases this summer is expected to create a unique record with its premieres in the United States.
The movie which releases on 20th April is expected to have around 2000 shows across North America on its premieres day(Thursday).
The shows count is higher than Baahubali 2 and Agnyathavaasi(1640 shows), however the Pawan Kalyan starrer will still hold the record in terms of locations. Bharat Ane Nenu is expected to open in around 340 locations, while Agnyathavaasi released in 515 locations.
Great Indian films who bagged the distribution rights for USA have decided to have the premieres starting from 3 pm E.S.T, which is not generally the case for Telugu movies as big Tollywood movies always open around 6-7pm E.S.T.
The good thing about the movie is that Bharat Ane Nenu will have an opportunity to post a big premiere number and possibly target the Non-Baahubali premiere record. Mahesh Babu has a strong following in North America and it seems the distributors want to take full advantage of this fact.
There is a big buzz surrounding the movie, with Koratala Siva and Mahesh Babu joining hands for the second time after Srimanthudu which turned to be a Blockbuster. As per our tracking, the movie’s premieres will be around the $1.5M mark.
Bharat Ane Nenu stars Mahesh Babu and Kiara Advani in lead roles and is directed by Koratala Siva with music from Devi Sri Prasad. The movie is produced by DVV Danayya on DVV Entertainments Banner and is all set to hit the screens on April 20.
