Brahmostsavam which took a great start at the Boxoffice on Day1 has failed to continue that run, largely owing to the poor WOM meaning it is now looking at huge losses.
The first weekend too went well with as it collected a share around 30cr but huge drops were seen from Monday and it hardly had an impact over the weekdays.
Overall it collected around 36 crores Worldwide for the 1st week, which the means the fate of the movie is more or less sealed.
Here is the breakup for the 1st week.

The Mahesh Babu starrer needed about 74 crores to breakeven at the Boxoffice, but it is now looking at a final SHARE of around 40cr meaning it is around 55% of ROI for the distributor.
Which more or less means it will end up as a DISASTER at the Boxoffice. The movie was a novel effort in terms of the message but what it lacked was the execution.
It is a blow for Mahesh who had a brilliant outing at the BO with Srimanthudu and also for PVP after two decent hits with Kshanama and Oopiri.
There has been talk of PVP returning money back to the distributors in case of movie not reaching 60% of its investment, but it remains to be seen whether it will materialise.
