Baahubali series has set a benchmark in Indian Cinema and fans have been eagerly waiting on what’s coming next. However, they can rejoice now as the makers are planning a Baahubali prequel.
Producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are planning a Web Series which will act as a Baahubali Prequel.
The story will revolve around the ‘Rise of Sivagami’ and will cover the origin story right from the childhood to her becoming the Raja Matha of the Mahishmathi Kingdom.
The Web series will be made in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada and will feature newcomers. The series will last for 3 seasons and will be aired by an International streaming platform.
Rajamouli will return to direct the series, but Deva Katta will also co-direct the prequel series. The ‘Prasthanam’ director confirmed the news to an English daily and revealed he is honoured to be a part of the project.
