Guru had a good weekend at the Boxoffice collecting around 7cr in the Telugu states, despite the movie being a very limited release.
The Venkatesh starrer had a very good opening on Friday, keeping the momentum on Saturday and then posting a good jump on Sunday. The WOM is terrific, and with Venkatesh’s following among the family audiences the movie will see a long run at the ticket counter.
Guru was released by Suresh Babu throughout the Telugu states and the movie is reportedly valued at around 15cr. Here is the area wise break-up.

Considering the genre of the movie it is a wonderful start and the week should be around the 10cr mark. For a comparison, Drushyam which also starred Venkatesh and of a similar genre collected around 5cr on its opening weekend but went on to mint 20cr in its full run.
