Guru had an excellent hold on Saturday collecting around 1.8cr on its 2nd day, despite a being a very limited release.
The Venkatesh starrer had a very good opening on Friday and kept the momentum on Saturday posting a healthy number. The WOM is terrific, and with Venkatesh’s following among the family audiences the movie will see some big numbers over the next few days.
Guru was released by Suresh Babu throughout the Telugu states and the movie is reportedly valued at around 15cr. Sunday will be huge with few screens being added. Here is the area wise break-up.

Considering the genre of the movie it is a wonderful start and the weekend should be around the 7-8cr without a doubt. For a comparison, Drushyam which also starred Venkatesh and of a similar genre collected around 3cr on its 1st day but went on to mint 20cr in its full run.
