The much-awaited film Indian 2 which is being directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions has been in news for various reasons. The movie has created much hype ever since it was launched last year, but recent reports have suggested that Indian 2 is shelved.
The film has been facing many difficulties since its inception. Be it Kamal Haasan getting injured or a major accident on the shooting spot which caused the death of three people including Shankar’s assistant director.
Recent reports have claimed that the much-anticipated film Indian 2 is shelved as the producers of the film are facing financial difficulties during the lockdown.
However, the makers of the film have rubbished the rumours by revealing that 60 percent of the shoot has already been wrapped up and they will resume the shoot post lockdown.
It is the sequel to the 1996 film Indian which was a huge blockbuster in those times. The movie starred Kamal Hasan in a dual role with Urmila and Manisha Koirala playing the female leads. Director Shankar announced the sequel to it a few years back and the team kick-started the shoot last year.
The film stars Kajal Agarwal and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles and Anirudh Ravichander to score the music for this magnum opus.
