Krishnarjuna Yuddham which released amid decent buzz this week has failed to make an impact on USA Boxoffice collecting just $411k over the first 4 days.
The movie had a good opening collecting over $164k in the premieres(Wednesday) but failed to hold on to those levels over the weekend.
Comparatively, Nenu Local and Ninnu Kori Premieres opened in the similar range($160k) but both of those movies showed a good jump over the weekend($600k in 3 days). However, Krishnarjuna Yuddham fell 50% from its Premieres gross collecting just $400k in 4 days.
The Nani starrer was sold for a whopping 4.5cr Overseas and after the 1st weekend, it has only recovered 1 cr and it seems unlikely this will go any further than 1.5cr in North America which means Distributors will loose more than 50% of their investment.
Nani has been on a roll in the US lately, with 3 back-to-back movies crossing the $1M mark but with Krishnarjuna Yuddham’s underperformance, the streak will come to an end.
The movie’s WOM is not at all helping and it is likely to show a huge drop with Bharat Ane Nenu dropping this Thursday and the Merlapaka Gandhi directorial will likely end up below $600k in full run.
Krishnarjuna Yuddham is also struggling in the Telugu states collecting around 11cr and is nowhere near recovery yet as the theatricals are valued at around 20cr.
