The much-awaited teaser of Mahanati has finally released and it seems the maker’s decision of casting Keerthy Suresh in the role of yesteryear actress Savitri was absolutely spot on.
Keerthy Suresh absolutely nailed Savitri character’s in the trailer, right from her hand movements to the expression in her eyes. Many doubts were expressed about the casting initially but after watching the trailer, we can’t imagine any other actress to portray this character other than Keerthy.
The teaser starts with Samantha’s voice who is a playing a journalist called Madhuravani. It seems the movie’s screenplay will be from Samantha’s point of view. Samantha has also dubbed in Telugu for the first time in this movie.
Malayalam actor Dulquer Salman played the character of Gemini Ganesan who is the husband of Savithri. Vijay Deverakonda played a typical role in this which will be suspense till the release.
Director Nag Ashwin who has just done one film Yevade Subramanyam needs a special mention for recreating the scenes of Mayabazaa and Gundamma Katha with a deft touch.
Vyjayanathi Movies is known is a renowned production house in TFI and produced some big budget movies in the past. The production values look very rich and it seems Ashwini Dutt’s daughters are carrying forward his father’s legacy.
The teaser would have brought back memories of the Black & White era for the older generation and after teaser, the newer generation will be waiting to witness the Biography of the Legendary actress of South India.
