The devastating floods that struck Kerala in August 2018 left a trail of destruction, making it the most catastrophic natural disaster to hit the state in a century. Tragically, the calamity claimed the lives of 483 individuals, while tens of thousands were forced to seek refuge in relief camps. Inspired by this heart-wrenching incident, acclaimed filmmaker Jude Anthany Joseph took on the challenge of bringing this story to the silver screen with his latest cinematic masterpiece, titled “2018: Everyone Is A Hero.”
Since its release in the Malayalam language, the film has achieved monumental success, emerging as a blockbuster and recently surpassing the remarkable milestone of crossing the 100 crores gross mark. Now, the producer, Bunny Vas, is all set to introduce the Telugu version of “2018” to audiences in the Telugu states, with its release scheduled for May 26. The distribution of the film in the Nizam area will be handled by Geetha Film Distribution. Bunny Vas, renowned for his penchant for supporting content-driven films, continues his mission by presenting “2018” to the Telugu audience.
The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Tovino Thomas, Indrans, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Lal, Narain, Tanvi Ram, Sshivada, Kalaiyarasan, Aju Varghese, Siddique, Joy Mathew, and Sudheesh in prominent roles. “2018” is a survival thriller that has been produced under the banners of Kavya Film Company and P.K. Prime Productions, with Venu Kunnappilly, C.K. Padma Kumar, and Anto Joseph serving as producers, ensuring the highest quality in filmmaking.
