O Pitta Katha Movie Review
STORY: Krish(Viswanth) comes from China to Kakinada, to meet his estranged uncle and falls in love with his daughter Venkata Lakshmi(Nithya Shetty) who leads a happy life in a small town. However, she’s already in a relationship with Prabhu(Sanjay Rao) who works under Venkata Lakshmi’s father.
Krish then tries to separate then but suddenly Venkata Lakshmi’s goes missing on a trip and then chaos unfolds. Who kidnaps her and why forms the rest of the film.
PERFORMANCES: Nithya Shetty has performed with real ease and impresses for the most part of the film although some times her characterization gets a bit repetitive. Sanjay Rao was good on his debut and also handled the variations very well.
Viswant also did pretty well but there is scope for improvement, as his expressions in the first half during the love track leaves a lot to be desired. Brahmaji has a shortened role but gives a satisfactory performance as a serious yet clueless cop.
TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT: Director Chandu did a good job, especially in the second half with many unexpected twists but if he would have handled the first half better then it would have been a top-notch thriller. Editing is a bit weak, as many parts of the first half should have been chopped off.
The production values of the film are rich in every frame and the camera work is also very good. Music is impressive and the songs have also been shot very well. Dialogues are decent.

VERDICT: O Pitta Katha is an interesting suspense thriller which saves its best for the last. The final act is thrilling with a gripping narration and overcomes some of the drawbacks from the first half.
