This Sankranti has been one of the best seasons for Tollywood. We have seen two biggies from same production house release during festive season and interestingly both the films have managed to do well at the boxoffice. Now, all eyes are on next Sankranti and many rumours are doing circles in Tollywood about a possible Prabhas film.
It is a known fact that Prabhas is doing a film under the direction of Maruthi. Touted to be a horror comedy, the film’s shooting is happening at a brisk pace. The Prabhas starrer has already completed two schedules and new schedule is likely to begin in February. The makers are in plans to wrap up the entire shoot by first half of this year.
According to reports, the makers are in plans to release the film during Sankranti 2024. However, there is no official announcement yet. Adipurush was supposed to hit the screens during this Sankranti but it did not happen due to VFX issues. Adipurush will now release on 16th June and Salaar is slated for September 28th release. It remains to be seen whether Maruthi’s film will actually aim for Sankranti release.
There are also reports that Ram Charan’s RC15 and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 are gearing up for Sankranti 2024 release. There is a high chance for one of these three films to go out of the festive season to avoid the clash at boxoffice.
