Popular actress Rashmika Mandanna, who has already made a remarkable debut in the Hindi film industry with her impressive performances in Goodbye and Mission Majnu, is all set to star in another major project. According to the latest reports, Rashmika has signed on for a prominent role in the upcoming pan-India biopic titled Chhava, which will be based on the life and legacy of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Chatrapati Shivaji. She will be seen portraying the character of Yesubai Bhonsale, the wife of Sambhaji Maharaj, in the historical drama. Vicky Kaushal will be playing the main lead.
The film will be directed by the talented filmmaker Laxman Utekar, who has previously helmed notable projects such as Luka Chuppi and Mimi. The biopic will be produced by Dinesh Vijan, who is known for producing blockbuster films such as Stree, Hindi Medium, and Cocktail. The pre-production work for the film is currently underway, and the shooting is expected to commence in September.
Besides this project, Rashmika Mandanna is also set to appear in Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film Pushpa The Rule, as well as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual project called Rainbow. The actress will also be seen in Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor as the main lead and the film is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
