Rashmika Mandanna, who has captivated the hearts of many, is set to star in her first ever female-centric film. The film, described as a delightful romantic fantasy drama titled Rainbow, was officially launched today in Hyderabad. The film was initially announced with Samantha but now she is replaced by Rashmika.
Rainbow will be directed by the debutant filmmaker Shantharuban. Dev Mohan, on the other hand, will take on the role of the male lead in this bilingual Tamil-Telugu production. KM Bhaskaran will take on the camera work while Justin Prabhakaran will create the film’s musical score. The project is being bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures. Dev Mohan is set to make his Telugu debut with Shaakuntalam that will hit the screens on 14th April.
The film’s launch was celebrated with a formal pooja ceremony at Annapurna Glass House in Hyderabad. Many notable figures, including Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, Amala Akkineni, Supriya, Venky Kudumula, and others, graced the event. The regular shooting of the film will kickstart on 7th April.
Geetha Govindam actress scored a blockbuster hit with Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu during Sankranthi. The actress has now signed on for a new project with Nithiin in Telugu which will be directed by Venky Kudumula. Additionally, she is set to appear in Pushpa 2 alongside Allu Arjun, directed by Sukumar.
