Indian-2 (or Bharateeyudu-2) and RRR seem to be living similar lives. Both movies seem to have troubles with casting and have been in new of late for this very reason.
RRR, as reported recently, has been on a hunt for its leading lady and Indian-2 has had issues with its antagonist’s part.
As surprising as it may sound, one actor from up north has found himself involved with both the movies somehow. Ajay Devgn, the brooding actor, has been in contention for main roles in both RRR and Indian-2.
The first one to come his way was Shankar’s Indian-2 in which he was offered the antagonist’s role, opposing Kamal Hassan’s aged vigilante. Ajay, apparently, was keen taking up the role despite the grey shades the character possesses but things did not materialize.
Owing to date issues and being busy with his other mega-project Tanaaji: The Unsung Warrior, he eventually decided to drop out.
The RRR rumor, however, continues to breathe life as an inside trade source revealed that Ajay Devgn has indeed been signed for a pivotal role in the film. Ajay had previously played a small dubbing part in Rajamouli’s Hindi version of ‘Eega’.
Though there has been no announcement of any sort on the matter, it is being said that the shoot with Ram Charan and Jr. NTR will continue as planned and Ajay will soon join the unit once his Tanaaji is wrapped up.
