Actor Venkatesh has made a strong comeback to form with his recent blockbuster ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’. His previous films were a bit underwhelming and failed to create much impact.
The veteran actor, however, is back to business and will soon start shooting for ‘Venky Mama’. As reported, this would be another multi-starrer but this time around, it is with his real life nephew Naga Chaitanya.
Directed by Bobby, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh who would be seen paired with Chai. The makers couldn’t find a leading lady for Venkatesh’s character though and the hunt went on for a while.
Huma Qureshi and Shriya Saran were the top contenders for a while but those names got dropped eventually. The team finally spotted something special in Payal Rajput of RX 100 fame and things began work in that direction.
Payal Rajput came on board immediately as she found the part quite interesting. Despite being a really young woman, she had no qualms in romancing a senior actor such as Venkatesh. She’ll soon be working with Nagarjuna in his much anticipated ‘Manmathudu-2’.
‘Venky Mama’ has had a few delays already and is entering production the coming week. Suresh Productions and People Media Factory have produced it together and is slated to be a Dasara Release.
