Well-known actor Vijay has attained a superstar status in the South with his latest outing. and his latest film “Sarkar” directed by A.R. Muragadoss is doing heavy business.
The Tamil Nadu rights were sold for more than 80 Crores, whereas his last outing “Mersal” collected 70 Crores share.
As per the latest buzz, Sarkar Hindi Satellite rights were sold for 24 Crores which is highest for a south Indian film after “Baahubali: The Conclusion”. Thalapathy has also set another non-Rajni record as his latest film Sarkar USA rights are sold for 4.1 Crores.
Buzz is that Vijay is an affluent NRI who slowly gets into politics and becomes the savior of Tamil people in Sarkar. We also hear that there is a negative shade for Vijay in the initial scenes but slowly his true nature will be revealed.
The audio launch of Sarkar took place on October 2 at a private college in Chennai. At the audio launch, Vijay disclosed that he is not essaying the role of a Chief Minister in Sarkar. However, we have to wait till Diwali to know completely about the character he is essaying.
Recently, the Spyder director also revealed that the teaser is getting ready for October 19. In this political action thriller, Keerthi Suresh, Varalakshmi and Yogi Babu are playing pivotal roles in the film.
Produced by Sun Pictures, AR Rahman is composing the music for the film. Only after Sarkar, Vijay will begin shooting for director Atlee’s new film which will be bankrolled by AGS Productions.
