“Ilayathalapathy” Vijay’s Sarkar is definitely one of the most anticipated films in Kollywood and that is reflecting in Sarkar Pre-Release Business.
A.R.Muragadoss who earlier delivered blockbusters like ‘Kaththi’ and ‘Thupaki’ with Vijay is directing this flick. The film is gearing up for humongous release on November 6 and the expectations on this combination are sky high.
Sarkar has done phenomenal pre-release business and the rights have been sold for highest ever for the actor.
Sarkar Pre-Release Business:
The worldwide theatrical rights are estimated to be around Rs. 125-130 cr which is a non-Rajnikanth record. Earlier, Mersal was sold for Rs 110 Crores which turned out to be a Blockbuster.
Following that, Sarkar’s Tamil Nadu rights were sold for Rs 83 cr where his last outing ‘Mersal’ collected around 70 Crores share.
Sarkar has also done good business in Telugu states. Ashok Vallabhaneni, who has bought the entire Telugu states rights for 6 Cr is getting good offers for area wise rights.
The film will fetch around 8 Crores for the buyer even before its release. It is known that his last outing Adhirindhi(Remake of Mersal) has collected over 5.5 Crores share in Telugu states.
Produced by Sun Pictures, AR Rahman is composing the music for the film. Only after Sarkar, Vijay will begin shooting for director Atlee’s new film which will be bankrolled by AGS Productions.
