Vijay has recently scored a solid hit with Varisu. The Telugu verison Vaarasudu has opened with mixed reviews but the film has managed to do well at the boxoffice in Telugu states. Direcetd by Vamshi Paidipallya and bankrolled by Dil Raju, the film features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Vijay’s next is tentatively titled Thalapathy67.
It is a known fact that Thalapathy67 is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The director has recently scored a blockbuster with Vikram and has created a cinematic universe. There have been rumours that Vijay’s film is also a part of the universe but no official announcement is made yet.
In a recent interaction, Fahadh Faasil who played a crucial role in Vikram has stated that he might be a part of Thalapathy67 as it is a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Now the latest news is that Kamal Haasan will be doing a cameo in Vijay’s film. If the rumours turn out to be true then the film might do some wonders at the boxoffice if it clicks well.
Thalapathy67 is being bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and Anirudh Ravichander is set to compose the music. Sanjay Dutt will play the main antagonist role.
