Venkatesh and Sekhar Kammula are set to team up for a film after the Daggubati actor wraps up the shoot of Narappa which is being directed by Srikanth Addala.
The shooting of the film started in Jan 2020 but got halted due to the COVID-19 lockdown. There is only a small part of principal photography left to be shot but Venkatesh is keen to only resume shooting once the whole pandemic situation eases down. According to the latest buzz in the trade circles, Sekhar Kammula will direct Venkatesh for his next. The director is known for his romantic films Godavari, Anand and Fidaa etc.
The buzz is that the film will have a mixture of action and romance to satisfy both the family and the mass audience. Venky will be seen as an aged person who helps a young couple and during the process finds the solution for his own issues.
Sekhar Kammula is currently busy with Love Story starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The makers of Love Story yet to decide on resuming shooting and post-production works. Meanwhile Sekhar is concentrating on Venky film.
Venkatesh and Sekhar Kammula film may kickstart the shoot early 2021. However, it depends on the COVID situation then.
