NTR Biopic whose shooting is currently underway has been creating immense buzz among the trade circles over the past few months.
The makers have been releasing interesting character posters which have made a huge impact, with distributors betting big on the project.
The latest we hear is that NTR Biopic Overseas Rights have been sold for a whopping price of 20cr out of which 2cr is recoverable. The deal is for both the parts ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’ and ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’.
It is a terrific deal for the producers, considering the fact that before the announcement of 2 parts a figure of around 12cr was being quoted for the overseas rights.
The distributors will need around 33.5cr($4.5M gross) to Break Even(B.E) at the Overseas Boxoffice but considering that the movie will span over 2 parts, it is a good deal.
Krish and Balakrishna’s previous film ‘Gautamiputra Satakarni’ grossed around $1.6M at the Overseas Boxoffice, which is a career best for the duo. The ‘Kanche’ director has a good following, so if the content is worth it then it will easily turn out to be profitable.
The Local distributors are also shelling out massive amounts to release this most anticipated film in their territories. There are also recent reports that Mahesh Babu will essay the role of his father Krishna in the Biopic.
