In a grand release last Friday, Prabhas’ highly anticipated pan-India mythological extravaganza, “Adipurush,” has taken the global box office by storm. Despite facing huge criticism on social media, the film has exceeded all expectations and delivered an outstanding performance at the ticket counters.
The Nizam region, in particular, witnessed an extraordinary response, as “Adipurush” soared past the remarkable milestone of collecting a whopping Rs 30 crore in just three days. After a sensational Rs 21.50 crore share on Friday and Saturday, the film demonstrated remarkable staying power on Sunday, adding another Rs 8.20 crore share (including GST) to its Nizam region collections, thus reaching a phenomenal total of Rs 30 crore for its opening weekend.
The makers proudly announced that “Adipurush” has already crossed the monumental milestone of grossing over Rs 340 crore in just three days at the global box office. The Hindi version, in particular, has performed well across the country, especially in the Hindi belt. The opening weekend for the Hindi version alone saw a remarkable collection of Rs 110 crore nett across India. Starting with a strong opening of Rs 37.25 crore nett on Friday, followed by Rs 38 crore nett on Saturday, the film’s collection slightly dipped on Sunday to around Rs 35 crore, resulting in a cumulative total of approximately Rs 110 crore for the first three days.
