Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram’s Agnyaathavaasi had high expectations before the release as the crazy combination duo were coming together post-Jalsa and Attarintiki Daredi.
However, the movie became one of the biggest flops of the year. Audiences were hugely disappointed with the output of the movie. Almost all of the distributors who bought the movie incurred a huge loss.
SUN Network who bought the satellite rights for a huge price of around 19 crores, did not attempt to telecast the movie soon because of the movie result at the box-office.
However, the movie was made available on SunNxt a month or so back and it finally had its television premiere a few weeks back. Agnyaathavaasi TRP Ratings were dismal as it only delivered 5.3.
For Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram’s crazy combination, this is disastrous as their previous venture ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ might still be delivering TRP’s in this 3-4 range. In fact, Mahesh and MurugaDass Spyder got a bit better TRP compared to Agnyathavaasi.
With the movie not performing to expectations, Sun TV should have released this much earlier as it would have delivered almost double the TRP which it got now. However, they waited for no valid reason and let the interest seep out of the audience.
