Bheeshma

Bheeshma Movie Review

STORY: Bheeshma (Nithiin) is an easy go guy who eagerly waits for a girl to come into his life and eventually falls in love with Chaitra (Rashmika), an employee in Bheeshma Group of Organic farming company. Bheeshma (Anant Nag) is the CEO of the company who is set to retire and all of a sudden he appoints Nithin as the next CEO.

Why he appoints Nithiin and how he handles his new position and rival of Bheeshma Group forms the rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Nithiin has nailed it. His comedy timing and dialogue delivery with apt expressions were simply superb. Rashmika was given a neat role and she executed her job well. KGF fame Anant Nag stars in an important role and he delivered an impressive performance.

Vennela Kishore has got some meaty stuff and his presence evoked laughs throughout the film. Mirchi fame Sampath Raj did justice to his role.

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT: Director Venky Kudumula has done a great job in presenting the simple story in an engaging manner. The screenplay of the movie is simply superb and you will hardly get bored.

The production values of the film are rich in every frame and camera work is good. Sagar Mahati’s music is decent and BGM is apt for the scenes. Dialogues need special mention as the punch dialogues in the film have generated huge laughs in the theater.

PLUS POINTS:

  • Nithiin’s performance
  • Comedy
  • Screenplay
  • Dialogues

MINUS POINTS:

  • Simple story
  • Some over the top scenes

VERDICT: Bheeshma is a smooth family entertainer with comedy striking a chord at regular intervals. The movie is engaging throughout the film and never feels boring. Though the story looks simple, it is presented in an engaging manner.
