It is a known fact that Megastar Chiranjeevi is doing his 152nd film with Koratala Shiva. The film is tentatively titled as Acharya and is based on Naxalism.

The Makers have kick started the shoot last month and are planning to release the movie on Independence day weekend. The movie has been in news recently after Chiru’s look was leaked from the sets.

As per latest buzz, Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu might share screen space in Acharya. Initially, Ram Charan was expected to feature in an extended cameo but the actor got busy shooting RRR, so Koratala Siva approached Mahesh Babu to play the part.

The director has tweaked the story a bit to suit the Sarileru Neekevvaru star, and he will now play a student leader and will feature for around 30 minutes. It will reportedly be an intense role which will please the masses. Mahesh is expected to join the shoot from June.

Megastar was last seen in the film Sye Raa Narsimha Reddy. Despite releasing with huge and garnering positive reviews the movie failed to score well at the Box-office. On the other hand Koratala Siva has scored a big hit with Bharat Ane Nenu.

It will be a treat to see Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu together on screen. The film stars Trisha as female lead. Regina Cassandra is doing a special song in the film. The movie is being bankrolled by Konidela Productions and Matinee Entertainments together.
