Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie to start from June

Chiranjeevi’s prestigious 150th movie, tentatively titled Kathilantodu will start rolling from the first week of June.

The movie will be directed by V.V.Vinayak and is an official remake of Tamil superhit ‘kathi’ which starred Vijay in the lead role. The flick will be produced by Ram Charan under his home banner.

The lead actress hasn’t been finalized yet and there have been couple of names going around the media over the past few weeks. However speaking to IANS, a source close to the unit has suggested that the makers are in talks with Anushka.

“The makers have approached and she’s very excited. However, she already has three projects including ‘Baahubali 2’ in her kitty. Hence, she isn’t sure if she’ll be able to set aside dates for this project,” the source said.

The source also confirmed that the megastar will not be part of the first schedule, but will only be needed much later.

“While the shooting will start from the first week of June, Chiranjeevi will join much later. The makers will shoot the first schedule sans Chiranjeevi.”

The movie took a long time coming but things are now moving pretty quick and the makers are planning to finish the shot by the end of the year.

The tentative release date for the much-awaited comeback flick is Sankranthi where it is likely to take on Balakrishna’s 100th film.

Stay tuned for more Updates.
