The sequel to Indian or Bharateeyudu, as the Telugu audience would refer to it, is certainly one of the biggest announcements in the recent times.
Shankar and Kamal Hassan are coming together after more than 20 years and for obvious reasons, Indian 2 will carry huge expectations.
The film’s shooting was expected to begin on the 18th of January and the first schedule was to continue until the next few months. But there have been reports of late that the shooting has suddenly been put to halt.
These were dismissed as rumours initially. But the news of the delay is true and the shooting has indeed been stopped indefinitely.
The actual reason though behind this is the fact that a lot of set work related to the film is still unfinished. This made it difficult for the unit to proceed with things and it was eventually decided to stop until the set pieces are available.
Indian 2 also stars Dulquer Salman and Simbu, which only makes things more interesting. Kajal Agarwal stars opposite Kamal Hassan and as a surprise element, Vennela Kishore will be seen in a comical role. A Bollywood actor to is rumored to play a pivotal role.
Anirudh Ravichander will score the music and this would perhaps be the biggest project of his career. Lyca Productions, who also bankrolled 2.0, will take charge of the production on this one.
