Rajinikanth has scored a disaster with Annatthe last year. The dubbed version Peddanna too failed to impress the Telugu audience. The versatile actor will next be seen in Jailer which is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film has been in news for the past few weeks and it has made headlines once again.
The latest news is that Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has been roped in to play a crucial role. However, there is no official announcement yet. There are high chances that Jackie Shroff will play the antagonist role as we have seen him in negative roles in many South films.
Jailer is already star studded with Rajinikanth, Shiva Rajkumar and Mohan Lal. Tamannah has been roped in to play the female lead. The film also features Sunil and Ramya Krishna in key roles. The movie is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures and Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music.
It’s been a long time since Rajinikanth delivered a solid hit at the boxoffice. Two veteran actors Chiranjeevi and Kamal Haaaan were also eagerly waiting for hits and they both delivered solid hits in the form of Waltair Veerayya and Vikram. It remains to be seen whether Rajinikanth too will deliver a massive hit this time.
