Maharshi has been performing well at the domestic box-office but the same can’t be said at the USA box-office.
The movie opened with huge collections all over due to Mahesh Babu’s craze and the pre-release buzz. However, it couldn’t collect as much as expected in USA after the first weekend although it’s still holding on well.
There were less primetime shows given to Maharshi due to Avengers and average ratings from critics also did not help. USA is known as Superstar Mahesh Babu’s strong fort but surprisingly it is not performing as well as expected.
The USA breakeven number is around $2.3M and as of now looks like a herculean task to reach that number. Going by the current trends, it looks to finish at around the $2M, ending up as a minor loss venture.

Maharshi stars Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hedge, and Allari Naresh in lead roles. The movie is directed by Vamsi Paidpally with music from Devi Sri Prasad and is being produced by Dil Raju, PVP, and Ashwini Dutt.
