The collaboration between the renowned Superstar Mahesh Babu and acclaimed director Trivikram has been the talk of the town for a while now. The filming of their upcoming movie tentatively titled SSMB28 has already completed two schedules, but rumors suggest that all is not well on the set.
Mahesh Babu reportedly had reservations about the script from day one, which has caused several delays and obstacles in the film’s production. Despite these issues, the team managed to resume shooting after many setbacks.
However, the recent schedule has been canceled, and Mahesh Babu, who is said to be unhappy with Trivikram’s work, has gone on vacation. The latest update suggests that the actor is not in the mood to shoot in the scorching summer heat and is also dissatisfied with the director’s efforts. This has led to speculations that the shoot may be further delayed. However, producer Naga Vamsi has denied all rumours.
To address these issues, Trivikram is reportedly reworking the script, and discussions are underway to salvage the project. In the first schedule, an action sequence had been filmed, but it was ultimately scrapped.
Pooja Hegde and Sree Leela are the lead actresses, and Thaman is scoring the music for SSMB28. Produced by Haarika and Hassine Creations, the film is targeting a release date during the Sankranthi festival in 2024. However, Mahesh Babu needs to finish filming this untitled project before moving on to his next venture, directed by SS Rajamouli.
