Nagarjuna was last seen in The Ghost which was directed by Praveen Sattaru. The film failed to impress the audience and the actor is still waiting for a solid hit at the boxoffice. Nagarjuna’s previous film Bangarraju had a decent run at the boxoffice but it didn’t give the much required success to the actor.
The Akkineni star hasn’t announced his next project yet. The latest buzz is that he okayed a new film with a debutant director. The buzz is that Dhamaka writer Prasanna Kumar is turning director and will soon work with Nagarjuna for his next. The rumours suggest that the film will be a period drama set in the era of 1970’s.
The latest rumours also suggest that Allari Naresh, who recently scored a flop with Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam will be playing a key role in this flick. The film will reportedly be bankrolled by Srinivasa Silver Screen banner. The grapevine is that the movie will be officially announced by mid of February and the shooting might kickstart in March.
Nagarjuna has been working as host for Big Boss show on for the past few years. He has reportedly came out of that show and concentrating on films. It remains to be seen whether he will score big this time.
