Rajinikanth’s Petta has completed its shooting and currently, post-production work is in full swing. Last week, there were reports that Petta will back out of the Pongal race.
However, to put a check on all the speculations, makers have officially announced that Petta will release on Pongal.
It will definitely be an eye feast for SuperStar fans to watch their hero on the big screen in 2 different movies within a 45-day gap, with Robo 2.0 releasing later this month.
We used to have such releases in the 1980’s where every top hero used to release at least 4 movies a year and with his last release still in theaters, the new movie used to hit the theaters.
Lately, all top heroes have started doing 1 or 2 films a year because of various reasons and fans are forced to wait for long to see their favourite star on the big screen. Its a rare feat from a superstar like Rajinikanth to have 2 big movie releases in such a short gap.
Recently released poster of Rajinikanth and Simran with the release date confirmation where Rajinikanth is seen in a stylish look. On the other side, 2.0 is all set to release for November 29th worldwide.
Petta is directed by Karthik Subbaraju under SUN Pictures. It has a huge star cast which includes Vijay Sethupthi, Simran, Trisha, Nawazuddin Siddique, and Bobby Simha. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music and Sun Pictures is producing the movie.
