Ravi Teja, who previously appeared in two blockbusters, Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya, has returned with a new action thriller, Ravanasura, directed by Sudheer Varma and featuring Srikanth Vissa’s story. The film’s reception from critics has been mixed, with some praising it and others criticizing it for being a freemake of the Bengali Vinci Da film.
On its opening day, the film grossed over 9 crores worldwide, according to the production company’s official announcement. This is a decent start, given the movie’s low pre-release buzz. However, it is essential to maintain this momentum during the weekend.
The movie stars Sushanth, Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Daksha Nagarkar, Poojitha Ponnada, Jayaram, Anu Emmanuel, and Sriram in crucial roles, with Harshvardhan Rameshwar and Bheems Ceciroelo providing the background score and songs. Abhishek Pictures and RT Teamworks produced Ravanasura.
With its impressive cast and crew, Ravanasura has a lot of expectations to fulfill. It remains to be seen whether the film will continue to get good footfalls. With Kiran Abbavaram’s Meter being a disaster at the boxoffice, Ravanasura has a good chance to rake in decent numbers in Telugu states.
Ravi Teja is lined up with multiple projects which are in different stages of production. His immediate next titled Tiger Nageswara Rao will release on 20th October 2023.
