RRR is undoubtedly the most awaited project in India. The movie has been in production for a long time which is always the case with any Rajamouli film.
The period action drama starring Ram Charan and NTR in lead roles was initially slated to hit the screens on October 13th 2021 during Dussehra. But the shooting of the film is still pending and it is expected that there will be a delay in the release.
Looking at the current scenario in India and the latest lockdown imposed in Telangana will make it difficult for RRR to hit the screens this year. Now the latest buzz is that the makers are planning to unveil a new poster with a new release date on 20th May on the occasion of Jr NTR’s birthday. However, there is no official announcement yet.
As the film is a Pan India project, makers have to take care in choosing the release date as most of the movie industries have not resumed. When Tollywood was making money at the beginning of this year with theatrical releases, other industries across the country have failed to pull the audience to theatres.
The makers are reportedly eyeing the summer 2022 release hoping the situation will be normal by then.
