Sarileru Neekevvaru Boxoffice: It is almost Sankranthi season and two big movies will once again fight it out for bragging rights in this lucrative festive season.
Sarileru Neekevvaru which releases on Jan 11th will take on Ala Vaikunthapurramloo which will hit the screens on 12th January. There is also another big movie Darbar which is also set to release just a day before Mahesh Babu’s film on Jan 10th. But let’s focus on straight Telugu films.
Both the film’s teasers have received a great response from the viewers and have been beating the Tollywood YouTube records. With the recently released songs, both the films are already topping the music charts.
We hear that trade circles are been a little worried as the two films clash at the box-office and this may damage the prospect of one another at the Boxoffice.
However, Sarileru Neekevvaru Boxoffice will have the added advantage of releasing one prior to Trivikram’s family drama. Most of the single screens and multiplex theaters will be fully occupied with Sarileru Neekevvaru on Jan 11th and some of them will be screening Ala Vaikunthapuram Lo from the next day onwards.
That gives an opportunity to Mahesh Babu to get a grand opening. However, the collections will ultimately depend on the WOM response from the afternoon show. The same scenario is applicable to Overseas as well.
