The Audio function of Savitri Biopic ‘Mahanati’ was held in Hyderabad yesterday with NTR, Nani and Nagarjuna garcing the event.
Speaking during the event, NTR revealed that he was speechless and searching for words to speak about Savitri. He then revealed that the makers have asked him to portray the character of grandfather NTR. He said:
“Swapna Dutt who is one of the producers of the film asked me to play a small cameo in this as NTR but I rejected it because I am nowhere eligible to play his character and don’t know whether I will be suitable enough to portray the legendary actor in my lifetime.”
He then concluded the lengthy speech by wishing the team all the very best and hoped the movie would turn out to be a smash hit.
The ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ actor then released the audio by giving the first CD to the daughter of Savitri Vijaya Chamudeswari.
Mahanati is all set to release on May 9th World Wide. US Distributor Nirvana Cinemas planned for Premieres on May 8th.
Keerthi Suresh played the title role as Savitri. The other cast includes Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salman, Prakash Raj, Rajendra Prasad and Mohan babu.
