Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan has achieved a rare feat by becoming the first movie to cross the 50cr mark in Bollywood.
The movie has collected 50.21cr Nett on its first day which is huge and beats the previous record with a margin of almost 9cr.
The craze of AamirKhan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and being produced by YRF has created a huge pre-release buzz which translated into big bucks. The movie was released massive 7000 screens across the world and in India, it is around 5000 screens.
In Bollywood, the day after Diwali is considered the biggest ever as far as Boxoffice is concerned which helped Thugs of Hindostan in a big big way. Though the first day collections have created history, the movie was completely trashed by the critics which is likely to have a huge impact on the movie.
All the reviewers have unanimously declared the movie a big disappointment because of the week screenplay. General audience and even many Aamir fans have rejected the movie. Aamir Khan who is known as Mr. Perfect could not save this lifeless film.
Dhoom director Vijay Krishna Acharya did not utilize the golden opportunity well and delivered a Disaster. The movie was made on a huge budget of 300 crores and the recovery looks impossible, as far as theatricals are concerned. However, considering the holiday weekend, the movie should earn some decent collections for the next 3 days.
