With the current situations, many small and medium budget films are going for a direct OTT release. With the current situations it seems that the Theaters in Telugu States are unlikely to open their gates for at least three more months. Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya is now the latest entrant into the OTT club.
There have been reports that UMUR will be releasing on Netflix on July 15th but that didn’t happen. However, there is now official confirmation from the streaming giant on the exact release date.
Netflix have revealed that Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya will be launched live on their platform from July 31st. The makers have revealed two songs so far both of which are garnering decent response.
C/o Kancharapalem fame Venkatesh Maha has directed the film which stars Satyadev in lead role. UMUR is the official remake of Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaaram.
The Malayalam film was critically acclaimed and received two national awards. However, Tamil version Nimir has failed to impress the audience. It remains to be seen whether Telugu version will reach the audience expectations.
