Vaarasudu has been in news for the past few days over the distribution of screens in AP/TS. Dil Raju, who bankrolled Vaarasudu has been accused of allocating less screens for other Sankranti releases Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya. Though the makers haven’t officially confirmed the release date of Vaarasudu, the film was initially planned to release on 11th January along with Ajith’s Tegimpu.
Today, the makers have announced that film will hit the screens on 14th January. Dil Raju has stated that Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi’s films will need more screens so he pushed his film to a later date. He also confirmed that Tamil version of the film Varisu will release on 11th January along with Ajith’s Thunivu.
Vaarasudu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and features Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Thaman has scored the music. The trailer of the film has received mixed responses. However, the movie is having decent expectations in Telugu states compared to another dubbed film Tegimpu. The film will have to have a strong WOM to be successful at the box office.
The film has a disadvantage as the trailers of other two biggies Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya have garnered solid responses. It remains to be seen which will become Sankranti winner.
